Ever since I watched Amanda Seyfried and Christopher Egan in Letters to Juliet as a teenager, the beauty, romance, and literary magic of Verona has called to me. One of my best friends moved here earlier in the year, which (lucky for me) has meant I've spent nearly a month in fair Verona, visiting for two weeks in April and again in September. Perhaps it was the contrast of coming back to the vibrance and warmth after a summer in England (which, while beautiful, does carry a heavier and more muted energy), but returning a second time made me appreciate the city so much more. I found myself taking less photos and enjoying the rhythm of daily life here instead. These snaps were taken in April, over a couple of days wandering slowly through the old town streets and following light, shadows, colours, and textures down random little alleyways.
